One Land, One King

Imagine a 4X game with millions of players and no boundaries!  Through the years, I’ve imagined ways to combine MMORPG and 4X strategy games with the goal to make the first, high production, Massive Multiplayer Online 4X Strategy Game.

 The ultimate digital board game!

One Land, One King is a game that combines the best features of games like Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic, and World of Warcraft. While some of the gameplay is common in 4X games, many innovations arise naturally when combined with MMO gameplay mechanics.  New and wonderful game mechanics are created that will satisfy casual and core gamers alike.

• Take on the role of a ruler and attempt to build a kingdom in competition with other players.

• Along with the larger tasks of exploration, warfare, and diplomacy, you must make decisions about where to settle cities, which buildings or units to create, and how to transform the land for maximum benefit. 

• Explore a world map with seemingly infinite size. Find treasures, enemies, allies, resources, structures, dungeons, and more.

• Central to gameplay are the "heroes" who can lead armies, hold jobs, and engage in all aspects of the player’s kingdom.  Heroes also incorporate some role-playing elements; they possess a set of fifty hierarchical attributes that confer bonuses to an army. They may equip items that enhance their powers, and learn some of the hundreds of abilities that can be used to attack enemies or produce strategic benefits. Heroes progress by evolving through a hundred different classes.  They gain power and abilities by navigating a “sphere grid” designed for their specific class. There are billions of ways to navigate sphere grids which give rise to novel and unique heroes.

• Players collect cards or boards, each of which offer new game mechanics.  There are boards for holding items, equipment, professions, and hero progression.  Players may seek new or rare boards in order to better compete with their enemies.

• Players gain influence and rank as they strive for the throne.  Higher ranks have the ability to declare weekly benefits and gameplay mechanics for their area of influence.  The higher the rank, the more political power they may have with the other players near their territory.

• Players can join an alliance and engage in politics, raiding, and socializing. Play together for rewards and advantages in order to get as close as you can to the throne.

• Players complete quests, earn achievements, and enter tournaments as they progress through story driven, community created campaigns. New player created content is constantly added which allows for countless new experiences.

• Jump right in and play at your own pace with a seamless and intuitive interface that eases new players into the game. Veterans will appreciate the depth, detail and control that are highlights of 4X games.
